First leg first

We're not in Addis Ababa yet, but we are safely to Washington, DC. It was the smoothest flight I've ever been on—I wasn't even sure we'd hit the ground. (Not like that one flight from Austin, Molly and Troy.) Thank you to Jim and Leona for the ride to the airport. And thank you Tom for this loaner laptop.

Anyway, since this may be the last time we have an internet connection for a few days, I thought I'd post a few shots from the start of our journey. We'll post our arrival as soon as we can, but that may be a while.

Thomas is all loaded up and still in his pajamas; notice the empty baby car seat in the background.

Now that Russell and Elliot have become "big boys," I promoted Thomas to my "little man." Here's my little man pulling his luggage.

This is how most of the flight went. Like I said, the smoothest flight ever.

Beth, your poem was lovely, but the pictures and the sense of excitement and Thomas asleep on the plane were even better. Many blessings on all of you. We are excited to see her pictures!
