Oh yes Thomas did play the word "tsar" in our scrabble-like game. Perhaps less Dostoevsky, Stravinsky, and Shostakovich in our school curriculum? Hmm. Probably not.
Ha! Is that pick-it? I love that game. We play it a lot with my family--it is one of the few word games I have a prayer of beating Stephanos at because it is about speed, not obscure words. :)
Juliana, don't think that scrabble is about knowing obscure words, its about points. You can put "in" on a triple letter square - just make sure he doesn't get those squares and you do. Stephanos can sit and think of obscure words all day and you'll clobber him in points. (Of course, if you can put "indefatigable" on that same square, you'll do that much better.)
